The Classroom
Our classroom has a large screen monitor. The space is capable of hosting up to 25 students in a lecture format. We rent the classroom out for both training and parties. We host regular training sessions with Approved Sub-Contracted Instructors. We are also offering a link for online License To Carry Class via the Concealed Coalition. Once you take your online LTC class, you can schedule your live fire qualification with our instructor Richard Weathers for an additional fee. Richard also instructs our In Person LTC classes. Ammunition must be purchased for the live fire qualification through Carry On Firearms.
We are working directly with Concealed Coalition to bring you the BEST online training experience for your LTC training. Why online? You can make the time on your schedule, not ours. Feel free to check it out
In Person License To Carry Classes
These classes are scheduled at least once per month during the year. You must reserve a spot and pay in advance of taking the class. This can be done by phone, 806-418-6263. You must also bring your firearm UNLOADED and in a CASE. Ammunition must be purchased for the live fire qualification through Carry On Firearms. If you have an unpopular caliber need for your firearm, please check with us in advance so that we can make sure we have at least 50 round available for you. All ammunition must be factory ammunition, no hand loads.
Attire
Please wear comfortable clothing. The classroom can get cold, so a light jacket is recommended. Ladies, please no plunging necklines. We recommend no collared shirts and no open toe shoes. Tee shirts, long pants and ball caps are preferred. Eye and ear protection will be required and can be provided. All students will have to complete the Range Rules and Liability Waiver as well as a paper test in advance of shooting or entering the live fire range.

Gun Rentals?
Yes we rent firearms! If you have a specific pistol you want to rent or maybe you arent sure what you need. Feel free to come by in advance of your class day and we will gladly show you what we have in stock. We will be happy to set the firearm back so it is available for you to rent during your live fire qualification as well.
Firearm purchases
We sell firearsms too! As a bonus, when you purchase a firearm from Carry On, you get a free hour of range time to use on us! You can't get that ANYWHERE else in town. We also accept transfers.

Carry On Firearms carefully selects only a small number of individuals to serve as our trusted firearms instructors for both in-person classes and one-on-one training.

We’re Joe and Amy, a husband-and-wife team dedicated to training for home defense, concealed carry, and firearms safety. Empowering others with the knowledge and skills to protect themselves and their loved ones. As a Veteran & Native Texan owned business, we bring both passion and purpose to all the training we offer.
Our story is built on service. Joe is an Army Airborne veteran and retired Federal Agent with 21 years of law enforcement experience. In retirement he is serving as an NRA certified firearms instructor and Texas License To Carry instructor. Joe enjoys teaching, range time, and Cowboy action shooting in his spare time. Amy is a retired Nurse, has a passion for empowering people with the knowledge of firearms safety and defense, and is an NRA certified firearms instructor. Amy enjoys training and showing her dogs, range time and spending time with her family. We have been married since 2012 and enjoy meeting new and experienced firearms enthusiasts. Together, we bring decades of real-world experience to every class and consultation.

Richard Weathers has been a resident of Amarillo for over 65 years. He is a retired Police Officer with the Amarillo Police Department and currently a Deputy with the Randall County Sheriff’s Office. He is a Master Mason,Eagle Scout, Life member of the National Rifle Association and member of the Texas Rifle Association. He is President of the Pioneer Gun Collectors Association. He has been instructing Texas License to Carry classes for over 15 years. He is a TCOLE Master Peace Officer and TCOLE Firearms Instructor.
